Private Teaching

Overview

Megan believes in supporting students with their school work to gain confidence and learn independent strategies to be used in all areas of their lives. She works with families to establish routines and work habits for lifelong success and learning. Families may select to adjust services at any time. Subject specific support as well as executive function, study skills, and organization are key areas of focus for private teaching.

Daily Practice

Some students need support daily to establish routines and fill in gaps in understanding. This Daily Practice is an intensive to ensure gains in multiple subject areas. Some family also elect Daily Practice as a homeschool supplement in lieu of traditional school environments.

Weekly Practice

Students seeking support in one subject area often request sessions one time per week. Megan will work with a students family and school to establish goals for progress and continually check in with stakeholders to ensure sessions are progressing accordingly. Please reach out with your child’s availability if you are interested in weekly practice.

Summer Intensive

“Genius Hour” or PBL (Project Based Learning) is a fun way to keep learning through the summer! Students (in collaboration with families and Megan) choose a topic that will support learning and also maintain and advance their academic progress. This summer intensive can take many forms— 1-on-1, small group, or remote options are available!

Homeschool

For families looking for 1-on-1 or small group instruction as an alternative to traditional school, Megan will curate a personalized, credentialed, scope and sequence for one or multiple academic years. This plan also includes instruction and documentation in order to meet academic standards for each grade level within the public school system. Currently, Megan has curricula available for Grades 1-8. This option is perfect for families looking for the option to travel, catch up or fill gaps in learning, or take a more personalized approach before making decisions about high school.
